Development (noun): The process of growing or changing and becoming more advanced. The improvement of a skill, ability, or quality.
First founded in 2019, the Development Team has been one of our most rewarding projects here at Gravelstoke. But what is the “Dev Team” and what are we developing our riders into?
We believe that at the core of the gravel experience is a sense of adventure, venturing into the unknown, and a youthful curiosity of something new. Reflecting on my own experience, my favorite rides are those shared with a few friends exploring uncharted routes in my backyard and beyond. Experiencing a new segment with teammates and exchanging smiles as we regroup at the top of a climb. Planning, creating, collaborating, riding, exploring, tinkering, and befriending are a few words that describe what I love most about gravel and areas where I hope to continue to develop in this new year.

The Development Team is about our collective positive influence on the sport of cycling, connecting with like-minded riders, and developing in the areas we love most about gravel. For 2022 the project continues with a refocus on what we do best, creating community and supporting those riders who uphold the values and ethos of our brand.
For those interested in joining we invite you to join us by first submitting an application that will ask a few simple questions about yourself, what you can contribute and what you’re looking to accomplish in 2022. After we review your application you should receive a welcome email with an invitation to purchase a 1-year membership, which includes exclusive benefits and a new limited edition team bundle. Applications will continue to be accepted until we reach a limit of 250 riders. We hope to offer additional opportunities to join later in the year.
