Top 5 Gifts for the Gravel Cyclist 2021
One of our favorite traditions here at Gravelstoke is sharing gift ideas every December for the gravel cyclist in your life. This year is no different as we’ve been planning this gravel gift roundup over the past few months to carefully select the gear and equipment that we can’t live without. For 2021 we’ve selected a total of five gift ideas that each cost under $100 USD. Please enjoy our top 5 gifts for gravel this holiday season.
5. K-Edge Combo Mount
With the days getting shorter and headlights becoming mandatory, our number one recommendation for a more streamlined cockpit is a CNC machined aluminum K-EDGE mount. We are huge fans of the K-EDGE combo mounts for their sleek and durable design. They also offer a beautiful solution for light mounting underneath the computer, a look so clean you’ll forget it’s even there. Shown here is the Wahoo Roam mounted on the K-EDGE Wahoo Max XL Combo Mount with a NiteRider Lumina OLED 1200 underneath. The Combo Mounts are currently available in both Wahoo and Garmin compatible versions, are made in the USA, and come with a lifetime warranty.

4. Finish Line FiberLink Tubeless Sealant
There are few items that every gravel rider will go through more quickly than sealant. New tires require a full refresh, and tires with a few hundred miles of wear can always use a top off. We loved the new FiberLink tubeless sealant from Finish Line, a latex formula that we found to seal quickly and delivers comparable longevity to other sealants tested. Unique to this product is the inclusion of Kevlar fibers that Finish Line says works synergistically with natural latex to seal punctures as they occur. Finish Line FiberLink is available in 3 sizes: 8oz, 32oz, and 1 gallon for $13, $35 and $110 respectively.

3. Orucase Trail Pal
With so many saddle bags on the market today it’s not often you see something that’s truly unique. Orucase managed to surprise us with their latest bag, the Trail Pal. Designed to go under the saddle or on the frame, the new Trail Pal is great for its expandable size to carry as much or as little as you need. Road saddles are often too small for multiple CO2s, tools, and gravel tubes, but the Trail Pal is just big enough to carry it all. If you’re looking for a new saddle bag or a gift that’s sure to please the gravel rider or mountain biker in your life, definitely give the Orucase Trail Pal a look for a great deal at just $27 USD.

2. Topeak NINJA MASTER+ TOOLBOX PT30
Topeak has a habit of making clever bike accessories you didn’t know you needed. One perfect example is the Topeak Ninja Master Series line of products that turn your average bottle cage into an incredibly useful storage opportunity. Our favorite item in the lineup is this Toolbox PT30 that mounts either under a Ninja water bottle cage or alone as shown here with the included Frame Mount. The tool box can rotate 90° for easy access to the included 30 function, tubeless tire repair mini tool. The PT30 includes a knife blade, plug insertion tool, secondary chain link fence, chain pin breaker, and master link storage compartment.

1. Bivo Duo
If you’re over plastic there’s finally a good alternative to the traditional water bottle for cyclists. Just last year new company Bivo launched their very first product, the Bivo One. Based on a patent-pending high-flow rate design, the new bottle managed to offer better flow than standard water bottles, without the squeeze. One of our only complaints from the previous design was its limited capacity of 21oz. Bivo addressed that with their newly revealed Bivo Duo, offering up to 25oz of liquid storage in the same 100% recyclable stainless steel design. The new larger volume Duo features the same great cap as the One, so you can swap lids to mix and match colors as well. A great gift for any cyclist, check out the Bivo Duo in Black, True Blue, Emerald, Raspberry, and Raw.
