“Palomar is a mountain I had wanted to ride ever since moving to the US, a classic in California. I finally got to hit it for the first time on the tour, and it was a whole lot bigger than I had imagined!
By far the most technically challenging descent of the trip, I didn’t even try to count how many corners there were. Most of them you could fly through but there are a few where you definitely want to check your entry speed.
Our luck had it that there was a tree trimming service happening while we were there so I had to take an early window when their crew was on a break and get a clean run filmed. Combine that with a pretty rough road surface and not enough time to try learn it all, I chose to ride a little more conservatively, but I was happy with the run we got in the time we had.”
