San Diego POI project

Occasionally Ride With GPS will tap us to support some of their projects, and they recently reached out to see if we could help them curate a map of our favorite points of interest (POI) for cycling in San Diego County. We thought this was such a good idea that we jumped on the opportunity and got straight to work. Below is the POI Map that’s currently a work in progress. Each icon on the map represents a key POI that marks a location that we will often visit when riding in that specific region of our county. Typically these spots are great for filling up water bottles, buying food at a convenience store or gas station, or using a restroom. We also identified a few of our favorite bike path entrances, bike shops, and breweries. This is an ongoing work in progress and we certainly have some gaps in the map where we could use your help. If you are willing to help further populate this list with other POIs that you find are great locations for water and food or other critical facilities that have elevated your rides in SD County, drop a comment below and we can add your POIs to the map. Alternatively, we can give edit access to the map if you would like to play a key role in supporting this initiative. Even if you don’t think you have anything to contribute, you do.
