Carrizo Select: Bringing Stinner Handmade to All Roads
Today, Stinner Frameworks, a leader in high-performance steel and titanium bicycle craftsmanship, unveils the Carrizo Select, a new all-road model that marks the debut of their “Stinner Select” stock program. Based in Santa Barbara, California, Stinner has earned its reputation by blending lightweight, premium-quality tubing with a meticulous approach to frame design, ensuring each bike excels in its intended discipline. The Carrizo is made in Santa Barbara, includes UDH Dropouts, offers clearance up to 40mm tires, and is available for purchase starting today as either a stand alone frameset or complete build.
Named after the vast and rugged beauty of Carrizo Plains National Monument, the Carrizo has long embodied the spirit of exploration. Originally available only as a fully custom model starting at $3,599, the original Carrizo offered riders an all-road bike tailored meticulously to each customer’s specifications-available in steel, straight-gauge titanium, or butted titanium. Now, with the introduction of the Carrizo Select, Stinner brings that same spirit to a more accessible platform. This new version retains the handcrafted quality that Stinner is known for, built 100% in the USA, but follows a refined, standardized geometry across six sizes. By streamlining the framebuilding process, Stinner has managed to offer the Carrizo Select at a significantly lower price point that’s within reach for more riders—all while maintaining the craftsmanship and characteristics of the original.
This Select model uses Columbus Zona steel tubing, and is available as a complete build using SRAM’s Apex AXS 12-speed drivetrain, resulting in a versatile all road bike that handles both paved roads and rougher gravel paths. With moderate tire clearance of up to 40mm, the Carrizo can adapt to various terrains, but don’t mistake it for a full blown gravel machine. The complete build is rounded out with an Easton cockpit, DT Swiss wheels, and powder-coated finishes in Mint and Desert. Both colors look amazing, but I’d probably go for the mint!
Available in six sizes (50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60) and priced from $1,695 for the frameset and $3,895 for the complete build, the Carrizo is available online and through select dealers worldwide. With Stinner Select, the dream of owning a Stinner is now closer to reality for more riders, delivering the brand’s signature quality without delay.
In launching the Stinner Select program, Stinner Frameworks stays true to its ethos of crafting bikes that reflect the joy of riding and the dedication behind each frame. Known for their custom models like the Gibraltar for road, Refugio for gravel, and Tunnel for mountain biking, Stinner is now making their craftsmanship more accessible with the Carrizo Select—and it seems this is only the beginning. We’ll be keeping an eye out for what’s next in the Select lineup, with an upcoming model we’re eager to share. ;)
The all new Rodeo Labs Flaanimal Titanium 6.0 has arrived. Designed in Colorado with a UDH-native slider, 3D printed parts, 2 geometry options, and No-Yoke starting at $3500.
