TCH Introduces New Chiricahua Gravel Camp

The Cycling House (TCH), creators of vacation-style getaways for small groups of cyclists since 2005, have expanded their gravel destination lineup to include an all-new mixed terrain itinerary in 2025. The new gravel camp features gravel and pavement riding around the spectacular Chiricahua Mountains near the Arizona/New Mexico border. TCH shared with us a preview of the new destination, and we’ll be attending the very first trip that’s scheduled in the fall of 2024, from October 23-27.

The Chiricahua Mountains, the largest of the Sky Island mountain ranges, features an incredibly diverse ecosystem and fascinating geology. The 4 night, 5 day trip will be based at a private resort in Rodeo, New Mexico, but rides will be mainly based in Arizona. Rodeo is located in Hidalgo County, New Mexico, and lies less than one mile from the AZ border. The itinerary will have a heavy focus on gravel, but includes a few quiet paved roads including an epic paved climb surrounded by the spectacular rocky spires of Chiricahua National Monument.

Planned gravel routes will extend to the Mexico border and reach almost 8,000 feet in elevation. Participants will enjoy a pristine setting off the bike at the Painted Pony Resort, which features a hot tub and swimming pool. Like all TCH trips, guests will enjoy chef-prepared meals and unparalleled ride support. Limited spots still remain for the inaugural Chiricahua Gravel Camp in October 2024. The price is $2,945 per person.
