Made in San Francisco - A Visit to Outer Shell Adventure

Outer Shell Adventure and the 137 Basket Bag

During a recent trip to the Bay Area we stopped by the Outer Shell workshop to see what Kyle and Jim were up to. Last Fall we met up with these guys for a #CoffeeOutsideSF ride to Battery Wagner, followed by some sweet gravel shredding around the Marin Headlands. With no bike, and no time to ride, this time we opted for a quick visit to see what was new in the land of extremely dope bike gear. Here are a few shots we took that beautiful afternoon in the Mission District, including an in-depth look at the 137 Basket Bag below.

Outer Shell 137 Basket Bag

Outer Shell makes a variety of extremely functional bike bags. For the front of the bike, one of their most popular is this 137 Basket Bag designed to fit the Wald 1372.  With the dimensions 13" x 8" x 8", this is their medium sized offering for the front of the bike.

We like the bungee net style closure, durable inner X-Pac liner and clear map case on lid. The Basket Bag also had lots of storage options with multiple zip and sleeve pockets on the outside as well as a few sleeve pockets inside. This bag works great off the bike too, just clip on an optional shoulder strap and cinch down the top opening for a slick looking triangle shoulder bag. The 137 Basket Bag retails for $170.
