Just a few blocks south from the Texas Capitol in Downtown Austin, and directly across from a US Federal Courthouse, lies an unassuming circa 1955 warehouse with brick siding at the corner of 4th and Nueces. It was earlier this year that I first became aware of Chumba USA, a bike company based out of Austin, Texas. Besides the fact that all of their bikes are handmade in the USA, the more I learned about the folks behind Chumba and the products they stand behind, the more I found myself admiring the brand. The company is owned and operated by 2 men and 2 women, build frames from only the highest quality materials and approach their work with an intentionality and pride that is immediately evident if you get a chance to meet them.
