Gravel Racer Falls into Bush Seconds from Finish
We all know Sofia Gomez Villafane and Keegan Swenson took the top spots at last weekend’s BWR Arizona. But the real story here may be this moment captured on YouTube channel The Ride with Ben Delaney. Ben typically shoots bike reviews right after a gravel race where he tests the bike he’s reviewing. This was done brilliantly at the inaugural BWR AZ race when Ben set up his shot right in front of a sandy wash just meters from the finish line. In the background of the video where Ben recounts the race and shares the features of a Pivot Vault that he rode to a 3rd place finish in the 80-mile Wafer, you can enjoy watching riders struggle through the sand pit behind him. This moment at 4:00 minutes into the video is pure gold, where a gentleman falls right into a bush and struggles to get up while Ben appears completely unaware of the situation behind him. Let’s hope Ben continues this trend of entertaining distractions!
