Ombraz Nose Pad Riser Review

Ombraz, known for their innovative armless sunglasses, has introduced a clever solution to enhance their frames' performance: removable Nose Pad Risers. Available for all six models in their lineup, these 3D-printed accessories are crafted from EPU 46, a 40% bio-based material that's both malleable and removable. The risers were specifically designed to combat common active-wear challenges by increasing airflow and ventilation while lifting the frames away from the face to reduce sweat and oil buildup on lenses.

In real-world testing, these nose pad risers prove their worth, particularly during high-intensity activities. The added spacing between frame and brow creates effective ventilation, virtually eliminating the frustrating fog and sweat issues that I’ve often experienced while riding with my Ombraz. While the functionality excels, the 3D-printed construction does feel somewhat basic compared to Ombraz's premium frames. However, this minor aesthetic compromise doesn't detract from their performance.

The nose pad risers are now available through Ombraz.com, priced at $30 USD. Each riser is specifically designed to fit their respective models - Leggero, Dolomite, Classic, Cammina, Viale, and Teton - ensuring a perfect match for any Ombraz frame in your collection.
